Kenyans can now breathe a sigh of relief following a drop in the rate of inflation to 4.5 %, the lowest rate in a period of 55 months. The drop translates into a drop in the prices of basic commodities, a development that has been mostly welcomed by Kenyans in lower rungs of the social ladder.''The drop is good news for us ordinary Kenyans. I hope that drop is going to translate into a tangible drop in the prices of commodities,'' Alice Kamau says. This development is also good news for the Uhuruto administration which has pumped millions of shillings in a bid to subsidise production of basic commodities.
