Kesses MP Swarup Mishra has called upon leaders to concentrate on matters of development ahead of the fresh elections.
According to the lawmaker, unnecessary politicking is going to hurt the economy of the country.
Mishra’s remarks come after the Supreme Court nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win on the grounds that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) did not adhere to the constitution when conducting the poll.
He also called upon Kenyans to maintain peace and unity as we head to the fresh election in October.
The businessman turned politician, who was speaking on Saturday at his backyard, also said that politicking is likely to turn away investors.
“I have so many investors out there waiting to come and help me fulfill my election pledges once we are through with the election,” he said, as quoted by The Star.
The lawmaker also urged the Kenyan electorate to back the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto because of their impressive performance scoreboard.
He further said that the duo has good plans for this nation, adding that they deserve another term in office to complete their projects.
