Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr has called on Kenyan electoral system to take notes from the just concluded United States elections where Donald Trump was elected as the 45th president.

According to Mutula, Kenya's electoral system lacked harmonisation and that was why elections were disputed in the country.

He was speaking yesterday during a political interview on Citizen television. "We need to look at the electoral system of the United States and take vital lessons from the achievements of the United States election. 

In Kenya, the electoral system lacks harmonisation and that was why elections in the country have been disputed," said Mutula. 

The Makueni senator further called on the biometric voter system in the country should have the correct the information of all voters in the country. 

According to Mutula, the system should give tallying counts of votes with the number of voters in the country without manipulation of and kind. 

In 2007 and 2013, the election results were disputed due to the number of votes counted.
