Photo/the-star.co.keOnce embattled Central Kenya governor and who survived by a whisker to get re-elected is a man on the run.Embu Governor Martin Wambora, his staff and county administration officers on Wednesday fled from their offices to avoid receiving court papers.Outgoing Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti who narrowly lost to Wambora by 985 votes, had sought to serve Wambora with petition papers only to find the offices of the governor and county secretary closed. The AP officers guarding the premise refused to take the court papersAccording to the Star, this was meant to frustrate Kivuti's petition which he has filed to protect the governor ballot papers and forms 37A and 37B from tampering.Wambora will be sworn in for a second term on Thursday (today).
