Omar joined the club on a free transfer after parting ways with his former side Slavia Sofia. The Bulgarian side had claimed the Kenyan showed disrespect to his teammates by being abusive.

The full-back denied the allegations and even considered seeking FIFA's intervention in the against Slavia.

"I'm ready to go to Fifa or the courts because he (Stefanov) said some things that are not true. The president is not in the dressing most of the time so I don't know where he got all his information from. I was the one who walked out even before they put out their statement. I told them I don't want anything - money or anything - I just want to be free. If I didn't like Bulgaria what have I been doing here for the last two-and-a-half years?  Omar told BBC Sports then.

After two years at Tusker, Omar signed with Greek club Panegialios in August 2015 where he made his debut in a 0–0 home draw against Acharnaikos on September 27th.

Omar played half of the season, appearing 15 times in the league. February 9th, 2016, Omar signed a contract with Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia, after a successful trial period with the club.

He made his competitive debut against Botev Plovdiv on March 3rd playing the full 90 minutes. As a result, he became the first Kenyan footballer to play in the Bulgarian top league.

On  June 30th, 2016, Omar marked his European debut with an assist for a Serder Serderov goal in a 1–0 home win against Zagłębie Lubin in their 2016–17 Europa League first qualifying round first leg tie.
