Kenya's peace index has dropped riding on the current heat surrounding the electoral reforms.
The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) says Kenya now is ranked at 131 out of 163 global peace index.
The Chairman, National Cohesion and Integration Commission Francis Ole Kaparo said it is the worst division to be witnessed in the country, keeping in mind its an electioneering period.
"We are too shy to speak about it claiming every day that we are a peace-loving nation, because we do not want to scare away tourists," Kaparo said.
"We must confess people are getting killed every day especially from ethnic violence."
Kaparo also cautioned that during next year's general election, Kenya is likely to go down into flames due to power struggle and ethnic clashes.
