The Cairo, Egypt competition will also be used to select African representatives at World Championship. Kenya lost to Tunisia 3-0 on Monday night.
The second lose blurred the chances of the national team qualifying for the world competition. The men team lost to Ghana 3-0 on Sunday.
Captain Jairus Kipkosgei, Sam Juma, Abiud Kipkirui, Cornelius Kiplagat, Brian Kelly, Rodgers Maiyo and Hudson Chesoli represented Kenya. They are under Coach Moses Epoloto.
Epoloto’s team trailed the first set and were eventually thrashed 16-25. The second set was a replica of the first as Kenya tried to catch up with the North Africans. They lost 25-19. The third set seemed fruitful as Kenya led at the 1st and 2nd technical time outs. However, Tunisia changed tact to avoid a fourth set. They won 25-22.
Kenya will play Libya in their last pool B game as they hope to build some hope for future tournaments.
