The president was speaking on Wednesday during a function held at the titling center in survey area of Nairobi County

He called upon the land commission and the ministry of lands to resolve the matters as fast as possible, to pave way for development which have been scheduled by the university.

He said that the university is reclaiming that land for use by developing the whole country and give a future to many children

“Ngilu and Swazzuri should work very fast to resolve the matter affecting the residents and the university so that the construction of the hospital to kick off,” said Kenyatta.

“The residents should view this as a positive issue since the development in this area will be of benefit to them. The government is going to see that all he residents in the area are resettled and the university goes ahead in its developments.” the president said

He said that the beyond zero campaign, which has been going on and being spear headed by the first lady will be reinforced by the proposed children’s and referral hospitals, which will be constructed on the piece of land in conflict.

This comes some weeks after the area leaders toured the farm and stood before the media saying that the land belongs to the residents and the university did not have the right to evict them from the area.
