The leaders have also called upon the President to order for the cases against Narok leaders dropped, in order to restore peace in the area.

According to Nakuru West legislator Samuel Arama, Africa has its capacity and manpower to drive their own agenda away from neo-colonialism exhibited by western countries.

The ODM legislator opposed the President’s critics over his move to pledge over Sh90 million on the establishment of the court.

“I fully support President Uhuru over the stand on sovereignty of Kenya and that of Africa as a continent from the influence of western countries. This shows he is a Pan-Africanist who cares about the welfare of all Africans,” said Arama.

He also supported Kenya and other African countries withdrawing from ICC, saying that the international court has become a political court.

“With the formation ACJ, it will help the Africa continent deal with their own problems without external forces and malice,” he added.

Arama also hit out t those leaders who are opposed to the formation of African court, saying they are the main people who are being used by the western countries to fix African leaders.

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta has been asked to step in and help resolve the on-going Narok standoff.

Bahati legislator Kimani Ngunjiri urged the President to order for the withdrawal of the case against Narok senator and four area MPs over the recent demonstrations, to help find amicable solution to the Narok County conflict before the matter gets out of hand.

He said it was unfortunate for the leaders to be arrested while they were fighting corruption but indicated mayhem and conflicts was not the way to go.

“The government should allow the Maasai community to sit with their leaders and the warring parties to find a lasting home grown solution to the Maasai Mara game reserve,” said Ngunjiri.
