Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has asked its doctors to resume work.

This came moments after the hospital administration signed a return-to-work formula with the doctors union on Saturday evening.

“We call upon all doctors of Kenyatta Hospital to resume work with immediate effect,” said KMPDU Secretary General Ouma Oluga after signing the deal.

KNH Chief Executive Officer Lily Koross disclosed that both the doctors and thee hospital had reached the agreement four days after ending the three-month-long strike on Tuesday.

“Neither is it the hospital that will carry the day, nor will it be the doctors union, it is the patients,” Korros said

The hospitals’ board last week reinstated a dozen doctors earlier sacked for taking part in the recent strike.

This was after they refused to resume duty unless the management reinstated the sacked colleagues.
