NASA leader Raila Odinga will not be angling for a government post after his recent unity pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Odinga is set to lead national reconciliation and devolution efforts in joined ventures with President Kenyatta.
The two are said to be waiting on a brief about the same this week, as they set out on a journey to unite a country that was divided following the 2017 elections.
Details that have emerged from the pact indicate that the duo have agreed to roll out a programme that will implement the shared objectives establishing an office and retaining their advisors to help them achieve their agenda.
Ambassador Martin Kimani and lawyer Paul Mwangi will oversee the implementation of the programme.
The duo is also planning a launching programme for the shared agenda, before embarking on countrywide tour of reconciliation.
Reports further indicate that Mwangi and Kimani will assemble a group of 10 individuals; five from each side to help them achieve their set objective.
Kenyatta and Odinga decided to shelf their differences a few weeks ago, instead choosing to shake hands and forget their differences, which are partly as a result of last year’s contested elections.
