President Uhuru Kenyatta has hit the road on a campaign trail that see him traverse five counties in less than a week, as the campaign trail reaches homestretch.

The head of state started his campaing in Kisii and Nyamira counties today, Thursday, and will move to  Nakuru, Meru and Mombasa in the coming few days.

Moving to woo the Kisii voters and broaden his support base, Kenyatta is hosting  ralies in different areas of Nyamira and Kisii, a region that he performed well during the August polls.

In the August 8 presidential polls that were annulled by the Supreme Court, President Kenyatta garnered 106,894 votes (52.07% of the votes cast) in Nyamira while in Kisii he got 175,415 votes (43.22%).

Friday will see President Kenyatta return make a stop in one of his strongholds, when holds rallies in Meru County.

He will the join other faithful on Saturday in national prayer day at the Subukia Shrine in Nakuru County.

From Nakuru County, the President takes his re-election campaigns to the Coast region starting with a meet-the-people tour of Mombasa County on Sunday.

During the tours, the President will reiterate his message and vision of unity and transformation agenda that will guarantee a free, equitable, stable, inclusive and prosperous Kenya.

He will also urge Kenyans to turn up in large numbers again to cast their votes to reconfirm their choice after the Supreme Court annulled his August 8 election victory without contesting the fact that he won with a significant majority.

Last week, President Kenyatta visited the Western Kenya counties of Busia, Bungoma and Kakamega where he was assured of massive support in the October 26 fresh polls given his unprecedented development track record that has lifted the lives of many residents.
