Third Way Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta is unfit for a re-election as the nation's head of state.
Speaking on NTV Sunday, Aukot said that the president's recent attacks on the judiciary are an indication of his disrespect for the rule of law and unwillingness to comply with them making him ineligible to lead a law abiding nation for a second term.
''His disrespect for the judiciary and the rule of law make him unfit for the office. He should lead by example and demonstrate to the nation how to respect the rule of law and not fight it himself ,'' said Aukot.
He also accused Kenyatta of attacking the same institutions he should be protecting as the head of the nation doubting his leading skills.
''Once you take the oath of office as the President, you are required and has to be ready to protect the nation, its constitution and all the bodies under the constitution but we have a situation where we see the complete opposite of that happening,'' he said.
