350 people from Kenyenya received free treatment from the Beyond Zero campaign’s mobile clinic.
The campaign was initiated by the Kisii county government in collaboration with the Kisii University.
The county Director of Health, Doctor Geoffrey Ontomu spoke at the end of the exercise. He called on those that were referred to seek medical attention in other hospitals and to that ensure they do so without wasting more time.
He asked the residents to come out and test their health status in order to get treatment from doctors.
“I want to thank people for coming for treatment, and ask those that have been given referral letters not to ignore them because it is your health that is at stake,” said Ontomu.
The area ward representative George Bibao spoke in his capacity as the county committee of health vice chair, he praised the county government for their initiative.
“I want to appreciate the county government and Kisii University for this free medical camp. This clinic is always welcome here to help our people. I also want to ask that all health facilities be equipped with medicine for easy and fast treatment,” said Bibao.
