The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has resigned.
President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed Tobiko’s resignation on Friday afternoon while naming part of his new cabinet.
Tobiko has been appointed into the Cabinet alongside former Turkana Senator John Munyes and former Garissa Governor Ukur Yattani.
The new appointees will be vetted by Parliament.
The president retained six cabinet secretaries: Treasury CS Henry Rotich, Tourism CS Najib Balala, transport CS James Macharia, interior and acting Education CS Fred Matiang'i, Energy CS Charles Keter and ICT CS Joseph (Joe) Mucheru.
