Kericho county governor Paul Chepkwony on Thursday donated Sh50,000 seedlings to his Machakos counterpart Alfred Mutua.

According to Mutua who spoke shortly after attending the Governor's cup tournament held at Kericho Green Stadium, he pledged to partner with other counties in improving the living standards of Kenyans across the country. 

"I am also appreciative of 50,000 seedlings that the Governor donated to us. They will go a long way to increase our forest cover," Mutua said. 

"There can be no unity in poverty. The cure to tribalism and other social ills is development. I will continue working with other development minded leaders to ensure wananchi get the development they need and deserve," he added.
