Police in Kerina Sub County in Kisii County are looking for a 25-year-old man who is alleged to have assaulted his wife, mother in-law and brother in-law on Monday night.
The man, identified as Albert Obiri from Mesisita Village in Kisii County, is still at large after he disappeared.
According to Kerina Sub-County Administration Police Commandant, Daniel Rachiel, the man was reportedly involved in a domestic brawl that day that led to his wife leaving her matrimonial home and seeking refuge in her mother’s home in a nearby Nyachenge village.
Daniel said that the move did not deter the assailant from attacking the three.
“He followed his wife to his mother’s place and cut her using a panga and her mother suffered the same fate when she tried to rescue her daughter as well as his young brother in-law,” he said.
The three sustained injuries on their hands and heads and were rushed to Kisii Level 5 Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
Police appealed to the members of the public to help trace the man to facilitate arrest and prosecution.
