Leaders from both Kisii and Nyamira counties have been advised to put aside their political ambitions in favor of solving Keroka market disputes.
According to a former Member of parliament from Nyaribari Masaba Hezron Manduku who spoke to us on Wednesday, the boundary in Keroka is well known in as much as some politicians are politicking the matter for political ambitions.
Manduku said that during his time as MP for Nyaribari Masaba there were no boundaries disputes since both Kitutu Masaba and Nyaribari Masaba used to live in harmony.
“The matter of Keroka needs an immediate address without anybody politicising the matter simply because the residents are being affected and it is also scaring away the investors,” said Manduku.
“I used to be the Mp for Nyaribari Masaba for some years and we never had the problem of boundaries since they were well documented so let our leaders stop what they are doing and solve this matter once and for all, ” added Manduku.
In addition, he cautioned politicians who use some residents to cause chaos as it was reported that on Tuesday some residents were used with some politicians.
“When politicians engage themselves in causing chaos it means that they are not ready in solving the problem, we need them to come up with a solution which will help residents at Keroka," said Manduku.
