Nyamira County government is set to build a dental unit at the Keroka Sub-county hospital.
Confirming the information, Nyamira Governor John Nyangarama said the unit will be established in the current financial year while the one at Nyamira Referral Hospital will be upgraded.
The county boss was speaking during a function in Keroka added that the setting up of the unit is part of a plan to improve medical services in the county.
Nyangarama also revealed that his government has set aside Sh66 million for procurement of medical equipment that will be dispatched to all sub-county hospitals.
“My government will also spend Sh66 million to procure assorted medical equipment among them 16 slice CT Scan, refrigerators for immunization services, infant incubators, photo therapy lights, autoclave machines, suction machines, microscopes and delivery beds," said Nyangarama.
