Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has been named September 2017 Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) coach of the month.
The awards ceremony was held on Thursday morning at Camp Toyoyo Grounds in Nairobi.
The KPL champions excelled in the month of September, winning five of their six matches and Kerr has been feted for his team’s performance on the pitch.
Kogalo, who will be crowned champions on Saturday, downed Nzoia Sugar, Chemelil Sugar, Sofapaka, Tusker FC and Bandari while Thika United denied them 100 percent record in the month and was awarded 75,000 shillings.
Other coaches who have won the award are former Gor Mahia head coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira, Posta Rangers coach Sammy Omollo, Tusker FC’s George Nsimbe, former Western Stima coach Henry Omino and Sofapaka’s Sam Ssimbwa bagged the accolades from the months of March to August, respectively.
