The vocal MP who is perceived to be a Jubilee party rebel has already filed a notice of appeal.

According to the lawmaker, the High Court sitting in Eldoret ruled unfairly on a petition that was filed challenging his win.

The Eldoret High Court on March 1 ruled that Keter was not validly elected in last year’s polls on grounds that the election process was not free and fair.

Justice Kanyi Kimondo while delivering his ruling noted that the petitioner Barnard Kitur had proved his claims that Keter conducted illegal campaigns on the 6th and 7th of August 2017.

Keter in his appeal claims that the trial judge erred in law while arriving at a decision to nullify his win.

The MP maintained that he was never involved in unlawful campaigns as claimed by the petitioner.

He insists that the Nandi Hills parliamentary election process was free, fair and transparent.

The Kisumu Court of appeal will no have to set date for the hearing of the appeal.
