Alfred Keter, the controversial Nandi Hills Member of Parliament was on Monday arraigned in Court alongside two others - Arthur Sakwa and Madat Chatur over forgery.
They were charged with 11 counts of forgery each, and conspiracy to defraud the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) of Treasury Bills worth Sh633 million.
They denied the charges at the Milimani Law Courts prompting the judge to release them on a Sh2 million cash bail each ahead of mentioning of the case on June 4.
The court further directed that Keter reports to the Director of Criminal Investigations once a week.
The trio were arrested on Friday at CBK and locked up at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu road.
A section of Jubilee lawmakers from the North Rift region strongly defended Keter, over the arrest on Friday last week.
The MP, however, dismissed claims that he forged the documents to steal Sh633 million from the Central Bank. He instead said it was government's plot detain him after he planned to reveal government's plot to steal the money.
The North Rift lawmakers, led by former President Uhuru Kenyatta's political advisor, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny said they read malice in Keter's arrest and demanded his unconditional release.
