[Photo|Charlse Keter]Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter visited the National Power Control Centre in Dandora Nairobi accompanied by Principal Secretary State Department of Energy Dr. Eng. Joseph Njoroge and Kenya Power Managing Director Dr. Ken Tarus.The visit on Wednesday came after a nationwide power blackout on Tuesday evening that ran into Wednesday morning, a move that left Kenyans complaining and industries losing millions of shillings.Keter inspected the new gas insulated substation which will improve stability of power and safety of dispatch. He also addressed the media on the cause of power blackout saying it was caused by excessive power at the Olkaria station. He affirmed that engineers were doing all they could to ensure similar cases are not witnessed in the country.
