The National Youth Leader Gideon Keter wants youths to be relieved of CRB, DCI, HELB,EACC and KRA charges.
He said the motion to waiver the charges is on the floor in its first reading.
Keter said he was going to rally his fellow legislators to support him and ensure youths are deprived off the burden of paying for expensive charges.
"Youths will no longer have to pay for Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA), Certificate of good conduct (DCI), Higher Education Loan clearance certificate (HELB), EACC clearance and Credit Reference Certificate (CRB) that has been troubling them." Keter said.
"Any payment should be done after securing a job," he added.
He said fresh graduates are seen fumbling with their lives before securing jobs.
"They struggle so hard to buy food, pay rent, and help the sickly relatives yet they have to pay for this charges."
Keter said the issue had given him sleepless nights.
The youth leader said he was happy that the matter was on the floor and soon the charges will be done away with.
"Such expensive preconditions costing thousands of money is equivalent to torture to our jobless youths and I promise that we will pass this motion without hesitation so as to stop troubling our penniless youths who need our support," Keter said.
