Advocate Kethi Kilonzo has come to explain how to self declared NRM general Miguna Miguna can gain access into the country after being deported.
Miguna is currently stranded at the Dubai International Airport where he claims that he has no travel documents.
The outspoken advocate was denied entry into the country over claims that he refused to re-apply for Kenyan citizenship.
The court had ruled that Miguna should be allowed into the country unconditionally, an order defied by the government.
Kethi Kilonzo says Miguna’s lawyers can seek redress in East African Court of Justice to resolve the matter.
“Kenya has signed a treaty to respect the rights of every human, and Miguna can approach them to hear his case,” she said during an interview with the Standard.
Additionally, Miguna can use his lawyers to process his documents so that by the time he is coming back, his documentation is ready, as directed by the court.
“He does not have to be physically present in Kenya for his documents to be processed,” Ms Kilonzo says.
Miguna is Dubai where he was admitted after alleging that he was drugged by Kenyan authorities before deportation.
