Party influence

The governorship of Machakos County will be a contest between Wiper and Maendeleo Chap Chap. Although Wiper is considered the strongest party in the region, Mutua’s party has also made inroads in various areas. The two political parties will be showcasing their might.

Financial muscle

Just like any other campaign, money will play a great role in the race for the governorship. The three candidates will have to use their financial muscles to rally the electorate behind their bids ahead of the August polls. In the event of legal related issues, the two leaders will also have to use their financial capability to seek for justice.

Performance track record

The performance track record of each of the candidates will also determine who the county boss becomes. The electorate will examine the performance of the three candidates before determining who to elect.
