Ferry services at the Mtongwe channel have been suspended day after relaunch by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kenya Ferry services has suspended channel indefinately.
On Tuesday, KFC withdrew the MV Likoni, which has been operating at the channel, and redeployed it to Likoni channel.
According to Nation, KFS officials attributed the crisis to the slow speeds at which vessels are currently moving due to strong and high tides.
“Heavy rains have caused high and heavy currents, making it difficult for the ferry to cross from either channels,” said the official.
This follows a massive disruption of operations on Tuesday and Wednesday at both channels by bad weather.
