Hosts Russia will open the World Cup on Thursday, June 14 at the legendary Luzhniki Stadium in the eagerly awaited tournament.
The event will be officially opened with an opening performance, which will feature music legends supported by a huge cast of dancers, gymnasts, and trampolinists.
The musicians will be led by British Rock Music star Robbie Williams along with Russian artist Aida Garifullina.
The opening ceremony in previous tournaments usually kicked off an hour earlier to game time but this year, the event has been scheduled to start 30 minutes before kickoff.
The artist will employ different genres, with Williams expected to perform his class musical hits.
Two-time World Cup Winner Ronaldo will also be present for the curtain raiser and said.
The ceremony kicks off at 1730 local time.
