The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer Dr Ezekiel Mutua, met South African High Commissioner to Kenya Her Highness Koleta Anita, Saturday.

The two discussed partnerships between Kenya and South Africa in matters culture and development of the arts in the two countries.

They met during the African Union (AU) Specialised Committee on Culture and the Arts meeting held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi. 

The AU meeting was attended by filmmakers, government representatives and stakeholders from across the continent to discuss how the African Union’s Agenda 2063 – “The Africa We Want’’ – can be reflected through film.

During the event, KFCB Coarporate Communications Manager Nelly Muluka reiterated the Board's commitment to promote values and culture through film content. 

She said the Board seeks to promote content that promotes moral values through the Sinema Mashinani project, whose aim is to encourage local communities to be involved in film production across the country.
