The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) will collaborate with the Nyeri County Government and the Kenya Scouts Association to produce a film in honour of the late founding father of the Scouts' Movement, Robert Baden Powell.

The agreement to produce the film was agreed by KFCB CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua and the Nyeri County Governor Mutahi Kahiga, during the Annual Founders ‘celebrations in honour of the late Movement Founder on February 24th, 2018, at Dedan Kimathi Stadium in Nyeri County.

"We are grateful to Governor Mutahi Kahiga for this partnership and hope that this film will become a major marketing tool for the county; it will tell the story, inspire and release memories of the Scouts’ Movement worldwide,” said Dr. Mutua.

He added that the film will be rolled out under KFCB’s Sinema Mashinani programme, contributing to the President’s Big Four Agenda. 

The Sinema Mashinani programme was launched in 2017 by KFCB to tap and develop local talents countrywide.

Also gracing the occasion were Bomet County Governor Dr. Joyce Laboso (Chief Guest), Chief Scout Professor Jacob Kaimenyi , World Scout Committee Youth Advisor Edgar Marumbu, Scouts International Commissioner Antogito Soriano, Ngunjiri Wambugu (Nyeri Town MP), Kanini Kega (Kieni MP), John Kiarie (Dagoretti South MP), Big Ted, among other leaders.
