“I consider this a milestone especially with the increasing investor interest in our county,” stated Khaemba.

The county boss added that the tourism sector in the county will flourish following the opening of the local airline.

“We expect to see our tourism sector benefiting from this development in the immediate future,” added Khaemba.

He however regretted that they have not commenced expansion at the airstrip.

“Regrettably though we have not commenced expansion of the airstrip. Kenya Airports Authority has agreed in principle to expand the airstrip on condition that we provide land. We are unable to procure land for this expansion since the adjacent land available is acutely priced going by government evaluation. We are hopeful to resolve the issue soon,” Stated the governor.
