Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has attacked Canada over the arrest and detention of Miguna Miguna.
According to Khalwale, Canada should have come to Miguna's rescue since he holds dual citizenship.
"My understanding is that our brother, @MigunaMiguna holds a dualKenya/Canadian citizenship. Even if they cared less about us Kenyans, at least the western world should've pressurised for the immediate release of Canadian. Hypocrites!," he wrote on his official Twitter page.
Miguna has been in police detention since Friday and concerns had been raised about his whereabouts after he was not released as ordered by the court.
On Monday, police were required to present Miguna in court but failed.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinne is now required to present himself in court on Tuesday at 9am to explain why Miguna has not been released.
Miguna was arrested on Friday over his role in the swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday Nairobi on Tuesday.
