And agitated Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale has warned that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto will not be welcome in Western region if they engage in ‘defamation’ politics.
Last week, Kenyatta’s convoy made forays in the region as he warned that he would be forced to ‘deal’ with the outspoken senator should he poke his nose to Jubilee activities.
But in a rejoinder at Bungoma on Friday, Khalwale said h would single handedly make it ‘tough’ for Uhuruto should they persist with ‘naïve’ politics.
“Those guys who came here the other day and started abusing me should be careful. I will make it difficult for them if they continue with that habit.
“I hate hypocrisy and I will be forced to make this region a no go zone for them. We cannot tolerate such campaigns where threats carry the day. I am past that,” he said.
At Malinya market, Uhuru warned that he will take action against the outspoken senator who is a chief critic of his administration.
Khalwale is seeking to oust Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya who serves as ODM Deputy Party leader.
