Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV's Power Breakfast show, Khalwale said Miguna Miguna is abundantly qualified for the position and there is no room for doubting his performance alongside Governor Mike Sonko.

Khalwale added that Miguna Miguna will put his demands and goals on the table before taking up the seat in bid to help Sonko in clearing all the messes in the city.

He said Miguna Miguna is a leader of integrity and this is what Nairobi needs to fight cartels and corruption.

"Miguna Miguna is 'abundantly' qualified for the position... Knowing him, he will put his demands on the table before taking up the Deputy Governor job," said Khalwale said during the Thursday interview.

The Kakamega senator also congratulated Sonko for nominating Miguna Miguna to deputise him citing that it is wise to work with your former competitor as this provides room for collection of ideas fit for solving all sorts of messes in the capital.

Miguna Miguna however still has a number of things to clear before he is vetted for the seat according to county assembly of Nairobi speaker Beatrice Elachi.
