Speaking on AM Live on Tuesday, he said that the DP will reap big from the ongoing political changes, including the recent reunion between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga and the chain of reconciliation that has succeeded the truce.

This comes amid what political commentators have described as an upcoming reunion of the nation's political families, with he opposition's Ford Kenya Deputy Party Leader now saying that the same, should it materialize, will be advantageous to Ruto.

''Should the dynasties unite against the DP, then he will have every reason to smile as Kenyans who are already eager to overcome the dynastic rule will retaliate by voting one who appears an outsider. Ruto will, therefore, get both the sympathy and protest votes,'' he said.

He added that Ruto's victory further lies in the sleepy National Super Alliance (NASA) opposition block.

Three of the four opposition co-principals; Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka have already announced their presidential bid in the same race, with Khalwale cautioning that their dormancy will be an advantage to the DP.

''The way I see him packaging himself, if Mudavadi, Wetangula and Kalonzo don't up their game then he will have no opposition,'' he added.
