Former Kakamega County Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale is not happy about the stand took by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho when he made remarks pointing to Kalonzo Musyoka as a coward for failing to show up to take an oath with Raila Odinga.
Dr. Khalwale expressed his disappointment on Wednesday in a local television interview.
On 23 February, a bitter exchange of words ensured at Orange House after Joho, while addressing the crowd, said "I want all of you when you leave here to know that the only party we know is ODM. We cannot rely on cowards. We want to strengthen our party and empower our party leader so that when he speaks to other co-principals, he is seen as a man of strength".
Kalonzo Musyoka warned against creating divisions in the NASA coalition stating that him, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were inseparable and anyone trying to divide them was doing internal damage to himself.
Dr. Boni Khalwale who referred to Hassan Joho as a 'Keyboard Soldier' faulted his lack of respect for Kalonzo Musyoka explaining that he acted out of ignorance.
He said Joho did not even know what had happened that led to Kalonzo and other leaders miss the swearing in of Raila Odinga.
