He is happy because he claims he achieved his goal during the opposition's Bomas of Kenya meeting on Wednesday.

Khalwale said his efforts to bring together Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi together for the meeting was his greatest achievement.

Wetangula and Mudavadi have been embroiled in supremacy battles over who controls the former Western Province politically.

During the recent installation of Mr Mudavadi as the Luhya community spokesperson, elected leaders and elders from the community were divided over who among the two qualifies to lead Western.

"Yesterday (Wednesday, January 11) at Bomas, I achieved what I have worked so hard for, namely bringing Mudavadi and Wetangula together," the Senator posted on his official Facebook account.

"Now no one can split the Luhya vote."

He told the Jubilee coalition that the Western vote belongs to the opposition and inroads the ruling coalition has been making in the region will bear no fruit.
