Khalwale on Thursday termed Karua "the man in Mount Kenya region" because of the resistance she had staged against the dominant Jubilee wave in Central Kenya.

"Jubilee has ended up consolidating (President Uhuru Kenyatta's) Mt Kenya that even Peter Kenneth has decided to support him, it is only Karua who has stood like a man and decided not to join the party," he said.

Khalwale was saying this on the Citizen TV's breakfast show where he shared the panel with Mombasa senator Omar Hassan.
