ODM leader Raila Odinga dismissed tribal groups formed by politicians planning to use them as political vehicles for elective seats in 2022.In an apparent reference to the clamour for Luhya unity, Mr Odinga rubbished such calls and said there is a need to unite all Kenyan tribes.Wetangula's party as tribal.He was speaking over the weekend in Bondo

“Kuna wale ambao wanapenda sana kusema siasa ya ukabila. Oh tuungane kama wajaluo, waluhya ndio tuungane na kabila hii....hii ni siasa duni ya pesa nane. (There are politicians spearheading tribal politics by calling for the unity of some regions. This is cheap politics that will not help the country move forward),” Said Raila.

This didn't go well with former Kakemega senator who responded to Odinga's claims.Khalwale argued the former Prime Minister to refrain from mendling with their affairs.He added that their unity had no ill intention.

"Rt Hon @RailaOdinga please do stop poking into our affairs. It might help if u remembered that we are not an extension of ya community. If it is good for the Luos to be united as they are behind u, what is wrong with the Abaluhyia uniting behind their own? Respect begets respect," he tweeted.

Khalwale’s message to Raila got people talking on twitter and here’s what some of them had to say;

@bernard kataka I agree. This tribal hypocrisy in our politics is the bane of our under-development. Respect begets respect. Why is everyone suddenly so afraid of #LuhyaUnity?

@babaafandi We should stop talking about Raila and focus on Luhya unity. Other people are using us and dumping us. What is so hard for Ford Kenya to merge with ANC?

@moni_Atise From the day you lost your seat to Oparanya you've been very bitter. If only you could listen to your constituents and stick to Senate. When you were poking your nose

@benji ndolo But Senator you castigated Tribalism on @ntvkenya as I watched then in the same breath preached Luhya unity. My brother are you ailing?

@stevestichai I honestly don't know what this luhya unity is all about. They also want to use us ascent to their positions then dump us. Tuko macho waluhya msidanganywe bana b free to vote or elect whoever u want am totally against this luhya unit story

@raditorttr Bonny is repaying Ulliam’s debts 😂😂😂😂

@ItsKhaemba Checking the replies, "outsiders" are more concerned with Luhya unity than Luhyas themselves.

@Cliophers Si ulikuwa na yeye jana, mbona hukumwambia huko? Ama kupiga kelele twitter ndo zako.

@OtungaMarkfish Also stop poking in the affairs of the handshake

@wenny jones From the look of things, you surely belong to a mental home.
