Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has hailed Jubilee Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) across the country for making their respective Governors accountable.
The outspoken senator during a Thursday's interview with KTN insisted that it was the responsibility of MCAs to put their county bosses on toes to ensure public resources were safe.
"I have a lot of respect to the Jubilee MCAs. They have tried in the fight against corruption," Khalwale said.
He however critised MCAs from the opposition led counties terming them as puppets used by the county governors for their own political gains.
The Ford Kenya Secretary General insisted that being from the same party with your governor should no prevent one from putting the governors in check.
"As far as Cord MCAs are concerned, they have been held captive either by the monies possessed by the governors or the political muscles within the coalition," he added.
"The fact that an MCAs belongs to a political party should does not mean you can not move a motion against a governor," he said
