He claims former Finance Minister Amos Kimunya who was at the centre of the sale of the prestigious Grand Regency Hotel located at Nairobi's Central Business District to a group of rich Libyan billionaires was sacked from cabinet because of his efforts.
The hotel was sold to the Libyans at a cost of Sh2.5 billion which valuers said was too low going by the exchange rate against the US dollar then.
Khalwale also says William Ruto who served as Agriculture Minister during the grand coalition government lost his docket following his intervention on the matter.
Ruto, who was opposition leader Raila Odinga's close ally after the 2007 general election was axed following the irregular importation of maize into the country.
Khalwale, the former Ikolomani MP also named current Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong'o former Education Minister Sam Ongeri and Embu Governor Martin Wambora as high ranking Kenyan officials who will never forget his dedicated efforts in fighting corruption and abuse of office.
"I removed ministers Kimunya, Ongeri, Ruto and Governor Wambora. Minister Nyong’o escaped my net by a whisker, when I was chairman of PAC. I did my bid," Khalwale said on his official Twitter account.
