Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and his governor Wycliffe Oparanya have promised to work together to drum support for NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga in the August 8 elections.

Speaking during the NASA launch of Raila Odinga's presidential campaign, the two leaders said that though they will continue campaigning for the governor's seat in the county, they will still work together to ensure the region is united behind a single presidential candidate.

They were on Saturday seen avoiding political malice between  themselves to see the NASA rally successful.

"I believe that our unity as Luhya nation can gallop our dreams as into statehouse, It's my urge to the whole Luhya community to set their differences aside and focus on delivering Nasa's presidency," Khalwale said.

In the recent past, the senator and his governor have been seen to exchange hostilities in the highly contested governor's seat, something that analysts had said would have a huge dent on NASA's collective dream of rising to the State House.
