Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has differed with Homa Bay Town lawmaker Peter Kaluma over the secession of Kenya.Kaluma has drafted a Bill that seeks to have a total of 40 counties secede from Kenya. The Bill seeks to amend Kenya's 2010 Constitution to split the country into two to allow for the creation of a new country.Citing marginalization and exclusion, the ODM MP's Bill also seeks to exclude 40 counties from the current total 47. The excluded counties will then come together and form a state named the "People’s Republic of Kenya”.The counties include:1. Mombasa2. Kwale3. Kilifi4. Tana River5. Lamu6. Taita Taveta7. Garissa8. However, Khalwale is opposed to Kaluma's secession structure.The Ford Kenya deputy party leader has come up with a new structure to redefine Kenya's territory.He wants The Federal Republic of Kenya to be created, consisting 10 States made up of the existing counties which will be consolidatedKhalwale wants the regions consolidated into 10 states.The states include;1.
