Just a day after former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna attacked ex-Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale over his lumbering on the swearing-in of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as People’s President and Deputy President respectively, details of secrete talks between the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee have sprouted.
Khalwale on Tuesday revealed that secret talks were ongoing between NASA and Jubilee Party and that already, the talks had yielded bountiful fruits for the Opposition.
According to the Ford Kenya Deputy party leader, the nomination of Raila Odinga's brother, Oburu Oginga, and Kalonzo Musyoka's son, Kennedy to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) was an outcome of the secret talks.
“Chief, if u can't by now figure out that clandestine talks are underway, then at least see the products of the talks! (KalonzoJr/Oburu to EALA & Jubilee by-election support 4 Nyenze's wife) Stop theatrics & bring the people's agenda on the national table of brotherhood & dialogue,” he replied to Miguna Miguna’s concern.
He added that Jubilee’s stand to support Edith Nyenze in the Kitui West by-election is also a package from the said talks between the ruling side and the Opposition.
He tweeted: "1.Did Jubilee vote 4 KalonzoJr 4 EALA?Yes. 2.Did Jubilee vote 4 Oburu 4 EALA? Yes. 3. Is Jubilee supporting Mrs Nyenze in the by-election? Yes. All these is not due to divine intervention but dialogue. Period."
The former senator made this revelation after Miguna, a self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement general alluded that he had grown dumb on Raila Odinga oath plan.
While withdrawing its interests from the Kituyi West race, Jubilee Party stated; "the Party observed that the candidate from the other major party (Wiper Party) in the contest is Judith Nyenze. It is therefore appropriate and compassionate that the widow is granted a chance to implement the development agenda championed by her late husband who was a leader of national repute if that is their wish.”
