Khalwale congratulated the two, saying the meeting was a key foundation to unity for the sake of Kenyans, especially after he called for a dialogue between them, only to be insulted from various quarters.

"On 3/02/2018, I wrote to Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta appealing for dialogue. I was roundly insulted and dismissed by many. Having done the needful, I am very happy," said the Ford Kenya Deputy Party Leader.

The bullfighter however asked Uhuru and Odinga to conduct such meetings with their partners, rather than making dialogue look like a two-people thing.

"However, they must spare us the impression that it is about just the two of them, their families and communities. Kenya ni yetu zote..." said Khalwale.

Three NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka said they were not consulted and that they learned about the meeting through the media.

They called for a retreat comprising them and Odinga following the meeting that saw the two top leaders vow to support each other for the country's unity.
