He said the soldiers have been in the peace keeping mission in Somalia, for long, so as to shield smuggling businesses that their 'bosses' engage in.

According to the Kakamega senator, top KDF officials smuggle sugar and charcoal to Somalia, hence why the soldiers are not being withdrawn from the Country.

"Jubilee is protecting KDF bosses who are engaging in smuggling sugar and charcoal. This is why our soldiers are being killed in the Country, innocently. They are acting as a cover up,'' Khalwale said, Friday.

Khalwale was speaking when he alongside Ford Kenya party leader Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula and Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, toured Busia County for mass voter registration campaign.
