Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale was on the receiving end, after he gave Sh20,000 to a boy who was hawking food.

The Ford Kenya party deputy leader and Kakamega gubernatorial hopeful told his followers on socila media this, through a twit.

"Red T-shirt man walks home with his boy after I gave th boy 20,000/- today to stop him from selling family samosas 4 a living at Khumusalaba," said Khalwale, Friday.

However, most of his followers did not take it lightly. They criticised him, saying he should not have posted such, if willingly wanted to help the young boy, and accused him of posting the message for PR.

Boni thats where you go wrong. Whats wrong with selling samosas. Give him 20k to expand his samosas business to other towns.

My friend Senator, When you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does.

You had to make sure you haven taken his photo so that the whole world knows you have given him 20k. Come August am sure you are going home

Khalwale that is publicity stunt.... plus if you did it in good faith you don't have to come and post it on social media.

Others had an alternative argument about the same, they said:
