Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday called for the government and the opposition to resolve to dialogue for them to establish peace in the country.

Khalwale admitted that Uhuru Kenyatta was the president though he lacked legitimacy while at the same time referred to Raila Odinga as the ‘People’s President’ who lacked authority to transact government business.

The ex-senator urged the president to stop hunting down NASA leaders and appealed to Raila as well to put stop to his political drama and instead come together to achieve brotherhood.

“Legally, Kenyatta is the President of Kenya but lacks legitimacy! Raila Odinga is Kenya Peoples' President but without legal authority to transact any government business! Uhuru, stop the crackdown. Raila, halt the bravado. Lead us to the national table of dialogue and brotherhood,” said Khalwale on Saturday via a tweet.

Raila took a controversial oath on 30th January making the government launch a crackdown to arrest those who had facilitated the occurrence of the fake ceremony.

TJ Kajwang, Miguna Miguna, and George Aladwa were arrested following the ceremony with the government through the deputy president insisting it was never going back into politics.
