Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale has stated that the Cord coalition will not go the Jubilee way and dissolve affiliate parties to form one.
The lawmaker who was speaking in Kakamega on Saturday said that the move to dissolve parties like Jubilee was killing democracy.
He affirmed that the Cord coalition was all about democracy.
“The dissolution of parties is a way that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are using to take the country back to a one-party state, which we will not allow,” said Khalwale.
He further took a swipe at New Ford Kenya for joining the Jubilee coalition.
“It is saddening that New Ford Kenya was among the first parties to dissolve and join Jubilee even after we have termed the decision as undemocratic,” said the Kakamega Senator.
