Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has taken a break from politics for two days.

The Ford Kenya senator revealed this on his twitter account, Tuesday. He however did not disclose what he will be doing for the days he will not be engaging in politics.

Khalwale, who is eyeing the Kakamega gubernatorial seat, has been campaigning in the region for the last three weeks in a bid to unseat the incumbent Wycliffe Oparanya.

“After a 3 week campaign bliss in Kakamega, I've from today taken a 2 day break having met great gains on the ground,” said Khalwale.

The senator recently claimed his life is in danger after he alleged President Uhuru Kenyatta ‘threatened’ him.
